Topics

Fresh video ideas every day, with title options, an angle, an opening line and facts checked against their source.

The daily run

The daily run is off until you turn it on under Settings, Topics, with Find topics every day. Until then topics only arrive when you press Find topics now. Once it is on, every day at the hour you chose, in your venture's time zone, the topic finder:

  1. Reads the latest uploads of your reference channels.
  2. Reads fresh material from the sources chosen for your channel: the last 36 hours for a channel that follows the news, the last week for one that does not.
  3. Picks topics (six by default) with several title options, an angle and an opening line.
  4. Pulls facts for each one. Every quote is checked word for word against its source page, and a screenshot of that page is kept.

Change the hour, the number of topics and how many of them may be news under Settings, Topics. Turn the daily run off there too. Each run, daily or on demand, uses credits. Autopilot needs fresh topics, so while Autopilot is on the daily run happens even when this switch is off.

Titles in your own style

If you already post and like how your titles read, open Channels on Topics and add your own channel under Your own channel. If you connected a YouTube channel in Publishing, it is offered there in one tap. From then on every topic is titled the way you title yours, with the same length, capitals, punctuation, emoji and series names, and the finder skips videos you already made. Your latest titles show under your channel so you can see what it follows.

This is optional. Leave it out and topics take their voice from the channels you learn from. Choose Stop matching to turn it off. Your own channel is never raced and does not count toward the channels you follow.

Extra runs

Choose Find topics for a run on demand. A venture gets up to three extra runs a day, and each costs credits (see Billing and credits).

Made and Skipped

Mark a topic Made when you publish it or Skipped when you pass. It is never suggested again and stays searchable. Marking a topic made also marks the scripts, voiceovers and videos linked to it.

Brand searches

On any topic you can search for a brand deal angle. These searches have their own daily limit and do not use up your extra runs.
