Media library

Every picture, clip and recording your videos and thumbnails have used, kept for the whole venture and free to use again.

Find it under Media in the sidebar.

What lands there

Nothing to set up. When a video finds a meme, a chart or a source screenshot, when a thumbnail cuts out a person, or when you clone a voice from a sample, the file is saved to the library with the words that found it. Uploads you drop on the Media page or on a beat land there too.

The library belongs to the venture, so everyone on the team draws from the same one.

Why it saves money

A picture search costs a credit because it calls a paid search. Before any search the planner and the beat inspector look in your library first. When the words match something you already used, that picture is placed with no search and no credit, and the inspector says From your library, no credits used. The match is strict: nearly every meaningful word of the beat has to appear in the words that found the saved picture, and filler such as "meme", "screenshot" or "logo" does not count. A beat that only shares a word like "meme" with something saved goes to the web. Choose Search the web on that beat when you want fresh results anyway, and that search is charged as usual.

Use something on purpose

  • On a video beat, choose Library beside the search field, type a few words, and pick a tile. It is placed at once, nothing is uploaded again.
  • Drop a picture or clip of your own straight onto a beat's picks. It is placed and saved to the library.
  • On a thumbnail, choose Library beside the picture search to use a saved picture as the subject. Background removal still applies if it is switched on.

Tidy it

Open any tile to rename it, see where it came from and the words that found it, or remove it. Removing only stops it being offered again. Videos and thumbnails that already use it keep it.
